Thankful for Lemonade Stands
My son loves to run his lemonade stand. He's even building his business connections!!
“Do we have any lemons?”
“Guess what happened today!?”
“When can I do my lemonade stand!?”
My son loves to run his lemonade stand.
And it’s not just lemonade.
He’ll throw in some seasonal variance to keep the customers happy!
Fall tea. Fruit punch. Cookies.
Hot chocolate. Coffee.
He knows that demand varies!
It has been really fun watching him learn through the process too.
From being dejected any time his potential customers didn’t buy…
To being the pushy salesperson “objection-handling” their excuses…
“I don’t have any cash on me!”
“That’s ok! You can come back after you get home!”
To being a winsome little salesperson loving on and serving his neighbors.
It’s also great watching the networking and growth that happens.
Building relationships with boys elsewhere in the neighborhood who do their own lemonade stands.
Helping each other out in their different stands.
Inspiring one another when one has forgotten about it…
And then figuring out what to do with the money!
How much should I give? Can I get this for my sisters?
One time he bought all of his sisters water guns so they could play with him
And his new water gun.
So I am thankful for lemonade stands.
My son loves it. And I love him! And watching him learn valuable life skills!
What little things have been transformative experiences for your kids!?
Any fun lemonade stand stories!?
