Thankful for Martial Arts
Constant challenge. Constant growth. It's a beautiful thing!
“Look! I got a stripe!”
“That was so much fun!”
Giggles galore.
Clear indicators of progress.
Constant challenge.
And good people / good community.
Martial Arts has been a game changer in my kids’ lives.
One daughter in particular… when she started… any raised voice.
Any loud noise. Any discomfort.
And she would go to pieces!
Now she handles it all in stride.
Got popped in the face with a sword handle the other day.
(Her own sword handle 😅. And yes, it is a padded sword)
There were tears. But she was back at it in no time!
For this and a thousand other reasons…
I love the challenge that the dojo provides.
Constantly pushing the limits on their abilities to accomplish things physically.
On the mental toughness to keep trying something hard.
On the discipline to be quiet when the sensei is talking.
Watching them overcome those challenges is encouraging to me.
And a joy to watch as a father!
So yes. I am thankful for Martial Arts.
If you’re in the Raleigh area. I definitely recommend Quest Martial Arts.
And if you look closely… one of my daughters is shown on the website 😄
One of my daughters with a high kick!
