Thankful for StoryTime
Settle in kiddos. It's time for a story!
“Story time kiddos!!”
“YAAAAYYY!!!”
It can be hard to muster the will to read a story…
It’s after bedtime.
It’s been a long day.
Sore. Tired. Ready to relax.
But our goal is to read together every single night!
We typically focus on a Bible story.
But other nights everyone gets to pick a story.
And we are getting closer to the age of novels!
I heard somewhere… that the amount of words / vocabulary that a kid can master by the time they are 12… just from a story every night.
Consistency can be a game changer!!
It also shows up in their love for reading.
For exploring the world together through books!!
My 14 year old unfortunately did not get that growing up…
(She was raised elsewhere)
And she has to work much harder at reading…
And it is just not as enjoyable.
So read to your kids! To your friends’ kids.
To your nieces and nephews.
Let’s be thankful for storytime!
I know I am.
It makes a difference in my kids’ lives. ❤️
